26 Steps to
Improve Your Health™
A hobby that may save your life: trying to lower your Oncolab(R) AMAS score. We have no connection with Oncolab(R) and they make no such implication. However, the AMAS test is FDA accepted as over 90% accurate for detecting total cancer activity. That is more accurate than a direct biopsy, and detects cancer at a molecular level, long before it might show up on any X-ray or CT scan.In theory, you might avoid ever having cancer while trying one-by-one the alternatives below, and watching for a lower AMAS score.Or, if you ever have cancer, you will not waste time on alternatives which, for yourself at least, you have thus disproven. The early detection also should increase your chances of successful treatment. A positive AMAS test does not pinpoint a cancer location, but alerts your doctor to the need to find the location. This is a blood test costing about US$200. Unfortunately, the AMAS test is only possible within the USA.Please note that there are several main categories of alternative cancer therapy. All are experimental and unlikely to cure cancer. However, they usually have no side effects, and may support the immune system. More details may be posted here later, if readers express significant interest in our forum below.
Natural alternative therapies that are safe for preventive anti-cancer experiments.* Natural "cell immunity" supplementsas listed here in chapter I.* Enemas and colonics, plus periodic semi-fasting diets.Such as one day a week, eating mainly green grapes, or fresh carrot juice, or baked millet and raw garden salads.* Mind-body healing.Playing self-hypnosis recordings, doing meditation, prayer groups, or etc.* Hyperthermia, or hot baths, either using hot water or a dry infrared sauna.* Injections of natural extractsat IBC Clinic, per chapter C.Alternative therapies that are impractical for prevention, but of possible interest to some cancer patients.* PectaSol modified citrus pectin, by Econugenics.Does not directly suppress unhealthy cells, but is clinically shown to reduce their spread in animals. This is a mild supplement powder, basically very suitable for prevention experiments. However we list it in this section because it is slightly inconvenient, may cause gas and does not seem to have general health benefits.* AngioBlock with bindweed capsules by Nutricology.Follows the same "anti-angiogenesis" idea as is behind the use of shark cartilage, but with greater potential, and without the problem of high digestive intolerance. “Not for use in conditions where vascular formation (angiogenesis) is desirable.” Always consult a doctor before use.* HP8 Prostate Support tablets by American Bioscience.Improved imitation of the famous prostate tonic PC Spes™. Not for general use. Always consult a doctor before use.* Freshly-made external herbal compresses and baths.Depending on reader interest (in our online forum below) more information may be posted here later.* Deep-tissue microwave hyperthermia. The last we checked, around 2002, this only seemed available at one holistic clinic in Los Angeles. We suggest for people to discuss this option with their doctor, as a last resort, if they have cancer which has metastasized (spread). Their doctor may determine that standard radiation therapy will primarily weaken the immune system and can not reverse the cancer. Even so, extensive radiation therapy is often considered out of desperation. In such a case, we suspect that microwave hyperthermia is better. Microwave hyperthermia has similar benefits to radiation, but with minimal impact on the immune system or the quality of life. Its use is widely accepted for skin cancer, but for deep-tissue cancers the results are less accurate. We do not yet have any first hand reports of this technique. Thus we only suggest this as a last resort. However, except for needing a bit of luck in hitting the correct tissues with the correct temperatures, there are solid reasons to believe in microwave hyperthermia, perhaps more so than for any other alternative cancer therapy.
